Recently, the Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education announced the results of the 2022 Comprehensive Evaluation on High-Quality Development of International Cooperation and Exchange in Universities (Document No. SuJiaoBanWaiHan [2023] 24). Our university has been awarded the highest rating of Grade A in this comprehensive evaluation. It is reported that a total of 91 universities across the province participated in this evaluation. Based on university self-assessments, expert reviews of submitted materials, and on-site exchange evaluations, 25 undergraduate universities and 25 higher vocational institutions were rated as Grade A.
In recent years, our university has strengthened the centralized and unified leadership of the Party in international affairs, actively engaged with high-quality resources from government agencies, industries, enterprises, and domestic and international universities, and endeavored to build a Four Models and One Localization development paradigm. This paradigm encompasses integrated talent cultivation, blended training programs, mixed-disciplinary teams, open resource sharing, and international standards. We have also explored and established a One Core, Two Wings international talent cultivation model, focusing on the development of international programs, the enhancement of international faculty capabilities, and the improvement of global competencies. Furthermore, we have formed an overseas collaboration system featuring a Four-in-One structure, which includes overseas Zhixing Colleges, teacher training centers, 1+X promotion centers, and language centers, all serving the high-quality development of educational internationalization.
In recent years, the university has received numerous honors, including being ranked among the Top 50 Higher Vocational Colleges in China with International Influence, the Top 50 Asia-Pacific Vocational Colleges with Influence, recognized as an Outstanding Institution for China-Africa Educational Cooperation and Cultural Exchange, and awarded the title of Advanced Collective for International Student Education in Jiangsu Province. Leveraging this evaluation as an opportunity, the university will continue to enhance the substantive quality and distinctive development of its international cooperation and exchange initiatives, striving to establish itself as an international benchmark for vocational education.
