On the morning of October 16th, the 6th China-CEEC Local Leaders' Meeting opened in Yantai. Li Hongzhong, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Attendees included former Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Denitsa Trendafilova Sacheva, former Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, as well as former Speaker and Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and current President of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Maja Gojković, and President of the General Assembly of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Hungary, Boldizsár Bálint Borka. Lin Wu, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPC, delivered a speech. Provincial Governor Zhou Naixiang, also Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, presided over the ceremony. Provincial CPPCC Chairperson Ge Huijun and Yang Dongqi, Vice Chairman and Party Group Secretary of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, were also present.
Shen Lin, Party Committee Secretary of our university, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the conference and the parallel forum on Integrated Development of Industry and Education held in the afternoon. During the meeting, the university was designated as a Vice Chairperson unit of the China-CEEC International Industry-Education Integration Alliance.
This meeting was jointly organized by the People's Government of Shandong Province, the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries, and the China-CEEC Association of Governors. The theme was Future-Oriented Local Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries. The conference featured two main forums: the Local Green and Low-Carbon Cooperation Development Forum and the High-End Forum on Local Agricultural Cooperation with Academicians, as well as two parallel forums: the Integrated Development of Industry and Education Forum and the Enterprise Cooperation Development Forum. The event also included multiple activities such as a CEEC Cultural Photography Exhibition, a CEEC Commodity Exhibition, a Traditional Chinese Medicine Exhibition, and a Yantai Quality Products Exhibition.
