On December 29, the 2025 Annual Conference of the Jiangsu Provincial Higher Education Association’s Committee for Research on International Student Education Management was held in Nanjing. The conference was attended by nearly 300 representatives from universities and relevant institutions across the province, as well as officials from the China Scholarship Council, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, the Division of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Provincial Department of Education, and the Exit-Entry Administration Corps of the Provincial Public Security Department.
The conference recognized outstanding units in international student education. For the 2025 Jiangsu Provincial University Teaching Observation Competition for International Students, our university was awarded the Outstanding Organization Award for its solid organizational work, strong support, and remarkable outcomes. Additionally, the conference elected a new standing council of the committee, with our university successfully selected as a standing council member.
During the thematic discussion session, Gao Shuhong, Dean of the International Education College, delivered a presentation titled From ‘Student Recruitment’ to ‘Capacity Matching’: Promoting Strategic Transformation and Deep Collaboration in Vocational College Enrollment of International Students. She systematically elaborated on the ideas, mechanisms, and pathways for industry-education collaboration in international student enrollment, incorporating the characteristics of our university’s recruitment efforts. Fang Minjiang, a teacher from the School of Economics and Management, shared insights on classroom teaching, student guidance, and management of international students based on his teaching practices, in a presentation titled From ‘Skill’ to ‘Dao’: Enhancing Vocational Skills and Digital Competitiveness Driven by Both Standardization and Innovation.
In 2025, our university’s international student education focused on brand building, adhering to standardized management and distinctive development. We received multiple awards for outstanding works in the 2025 Reading Jiangsu themed activities, secured one excellent national conditions education course from the China Education Association for International Exchange under the Ministry of Education, and obtained one Chinese + Vocational Skills teaching resource development project from the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education. Additionally, we established two provincial-level excellent social practice bases for national conditions education in Jiangsu and achieved outstanding results in the Jiangsu Provincial Teaching Observation Competition for International Students, including one grand prize and two first prizes.
This conference has infused new ideas and momentum into the forward-looking planning for the 15th Five-Year Plan and the deepening and expansion of the Study in Jiangsu brand. Our university will closely align with the main theme of high-level industry-education integration, continuously optimize the training system, expand cooperation networks, and enhance educational effectiveness. We are committed to meticulously cultivating the distinctive brand of Study at JIT and contributing robust efforts to promote the high-quality development of Study in Jiangsu.
